Meet the Founder
Yasiel Lazar Castillo
Founder & CEO
Yasiel Lazar Castillo was born in Havana, Cuba. At just seven years old, he emigrated with his family to New Jersey, where he began a new chapter of his life and developed the determination, resilience, and work ethic that would later define his entrepreneurial journey.
In 2015, at the age of 25, Yasiel took his first major step into the logistics industry by founding Yellow Star Logistics with just one truck. At the beginning, he was a one-man operation—personally driving the truck, managing customers, handling operations, and taking on every challenge that came with building a business from the ground up.
Driven by an entrepreneurial spirit and a deep passion for the logistics industry, Yasiel remained focused on one goal: build a company that could grow while helping other businesses succeed.
Little by little, Yellow Star Logistics expanded. What started with a single truck grew into a larger transportation operation as Yasiel continued investing in additional trucks, expanding his team, and developing the infrastructure necessary to serve more customers.
As the company evolved, Yasiel expanded beyond transportation and entered warehousing and cold-storage operations, creating a broader logistics network capable of providing customers with more complete and reliable solutions.
Today, his journey represents more than the growth of a logistics company. It is a story of vision, perseverance, entrepreneurship, and commitment. Yasiel's passion for logistics has been driven by his desire to create opportunities, solve problems, and help his clients succeed.
From one truck and a one-man team to a growing logistics operation with transportation, warehouses, and cold-storage capabilities, Yasiel Lazar Castillo continues to build his vision—one mile, one customer, and one opportunity at a time.
His story is a reminder that great companies can begin with a single truck, a strong work ethic, and the courage to dream bigger.
“After all these years, I’ve learned that this industry is never really about moving from one place to another—it’s about understanding what comes next. Miami has changed, the world has changed, and logistics has changed with it. The companies that endure are the ones willing to look beyond today, adapt with purpose, and build something that will still matter tomorrow. I’ve always believed that true success is not measured only by what you accomplish, but by the foundation you leave for those who come after you.”
